COPYWRITING

Do you need web copy, long copy, short copy? Does your website need a bit of a spring clean? Or maybe your brand needs a cracking good storyteller?

I’m a dextrous and adaptable copywriter and I love rapid turnarounds. I’m also a journalist with long national experience and a three-times published author, so you’re in very safe hands.

Skills and Experience
In 2011 I worked for The Writer (big HR website project), The Art of Explaining (employee stories for Prudential), Seven (charity press promotion), and Triviala (site rewrite, customer emails, microsite for daytime television spinoff).

As in-house freelance digital copywriter for Com2, the in-house web design company at Jobs in Mind mental health charity, I completely reworked (and am currently editing again for re-branding) most of the organisation’s websites, bringing the language up to date and creating an approachable and friendly tone that united all the charity’s very distinct parts. In this role, I also wrote the web copy for mental health charity Loud & Clear.

For MWI Limited, I rewrote the non-native-English web text of dental company Swiss Smile in 2009 to create a warm, welcoming tone throughout, and wrote promotional brochure copy for pharmaceutical research company Quintiles. I have also written press releases for scientific peer review site Faculty of 1000, including one story that made it in to the Daily Telegraph.

Recommendations

“Tania’s work for us was rapid, efficient and always of high quality. She has a keen grasp of the need for good, clean readable web copy. I would work with her again. In fact, just sent her something now!”
David Holly, was MWI, (ex)Strategy & Marketing Lead, Triviala

“Tania is an excellent writer who has made a real difference to our work at St James’s House. She is full of ideas and she brings great energy to every brief.”
Jonathan Bowen, Senior Web Designer, Com2

“I recruited Tania to help us produce press releases based on papers evaluated by F1000. Tania is very professional and easy to work with. She has a instinctive understanding of how to turn scientific issues into publicly accessible stories.”
Richard Grant, Information Architect, f1000

Further back, I wrote some short copy for Online Content UK, some brochure writing for Sectorlight Sutton Young, and wrote an issue of Macdonald Hotels monthly magazine. I did a lot of editing and tweaking of publicity material for the Erotic Awards. I’ve also taken part in a few brainstorming sessions.

And, of course, I’ve worked on countless press and promotional material for the books I’ve written.
