Here’s my online portfolio.

I’ve still got my main Flickr stream, but at 4k+ shots, it’s got a bit unwieldy. I chose Carbonmade because it’s flash-free and looks nice. Here’s my text from the site:

I’m your friendly neighbourhood lady photographer. I do portraits, (human and animal), landscapes, and anything else I find beautiful or interesting. I work mostly with available light and I do post-pro mostly in Lightroom.

A note on author portraits:
The first time I had my portrait taken by a pro, years ago, the experience was so dismal that I walked out the door vowing that if I ever became a photographer, I would be friendly and easy going, and make a point of putting my subjects at ease.

I’m sure the photographer didn’t mean anything bad by it really. I was a young unknown writer at the time and, judging by the huge blown up images on the walls, the person in question was used to working with celebrities.

As an author, I know the clash of fears and expectations that goes on in your head when you’re waiting for a photo session to start. And not everyone loves having their photo taken. I’ve been there, so I won’t leave you dangling.
